Nokia N9 – Offered Especially for You

Despite the popularity of the Android operating system, Nokia does seem to have a lot of faith in its mobile phones so much, so that they have launched a new mobile phone featuring the MeeGo operating system. Not many will be able to recognise the MeeGo platform instantly, but it was first seen in the Nokia N900. Even though the Nokia N900 was not as successful as Nokia would have hoped, it still provided an insight into the things that can be accomplished by going for a different operating system than the Android units that everybody seems to be adopting at the moment.

The Nokia N9 comes with plenty of features that have already made its presence felt in the premium phones from Nokia like the Nokia N8 and the Nokia E7. Even though the design of the phone reflects the one that was first seen in the Nokia N8, most of the features present in the Nokia N9 seems to be coming from the E7. It is actually a good thing because the Nokia E7 features a much larger screen than the Nokia N8, which comes with only 3.5 inches of screen space. This may have been good a few years ago, but with plenty of phones offering 4.3 inches screen size, the 3.5 inches simply cannot compete with the best of the best. The Nokia N9 comes with a 3.9-inch unit that uses the AMOLED technology in combination with the ClearBlack display technology to eliminate the harmful effects of sunlight on the screen.

With these two technologies combined, you can actually enjoy the brilliant screen of the Nokia N9 even in direct sunlight. The presence of up to 16 GB of storage internally takes care of every single need that you might have when it comes to entertaining yourself, or taking care of business.

This 16 GB storage space is so massive that Nokia has been able to do away with an external memory card support option. The premium phones from Nokia so far have been criticised for the lack of performance offered by the hardware department. This, however, will not be continuing in the Nokia N9 due to the presence of a massive 1 GB of RAM, which is aided beautifully by the 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor.

The eight megapixel camera in the rear may seem like the units in the Nokia E7, but significant changes have been made to make this camera compete with the likes of the HTC Desire HD. The usage of autofocus, face detection, touch focus, and dual LED flash brings about a great difference with regard to the camera quality. However, the biggest change seems to be coming from the Carl Zeiss optics used in the camera. For a long time, Carl Zeiss optics have been ruling the roost in the market of camera lenses and it is a no-brainer to use this camera to get the best results. The Nokia N9 will be available in the UK shortly after it was formally announced by Nokia.
