Trevor Walters and Tharmm Equest begin breaking ground in the US through their partnership with Marquee Player Public Relations.Houston, TX, 01-13-2000—Trevor Walters of Tharmm Equest, a Black owned London based sports and entertainment management agency, has joined forces with Chris Williams and Marquee Player Public Relations based in Houston to facilitate his US expansion project.Trevor Walters is the Managing Director of the UK’s No I Black Entertainment Company, Tharmm Equest Limited, an organization that was established in 1984. The company’s original name was Equest Advertising and Promotions Limited and was initially set up to help in creating advertisements for black businesses.Over the years, in their endeavor to deliver a complete entertainment service, they diversified from advertising to an overall entertainment policy. With this,

anewname was sought, andtheycame up with Tharmm Equest.Tharmm Equest’s services range from Sports Management, Promotions, Media Productions and Music Management. Trevor comes from an entertainment background. His first link is from sound system days, where he was in an East London sound called ‘Jah Warrior’ and was one of the top sounds in the area (Forest Gate). From this, Trevor went to Jamaica and produced a number of tunes with some local youths in the area of Kingston.In the early nineties, with Reggae music not regularly being played on the airwaves, he secured connections with a number of Community Radio Stations, such as CRN, Love FM and Premier radio. This involvement ensured that his music productions were regularly played. From this involvement, movements moved to more commercial radio.From this, Trevor has produced a number of music from his stable of Jamaican artistes. Records have included ‘Rastaman Still Strong’, reggae version of ‘Summer Holiday», ‘Baby I Love You’, «W-0-R-K’,

‘GirlsDemAh Par’, ‘Jah IsTheMountain’, and the most recent tunes (I999), ‘Bigger Than Before’ (IceMan), ‘Only One’ (Everton Sparks), ‘We The Girls Dem Love’ (Mad Dooge Dog – Shaka Ninja), ‘Fire Bum Dem Down’ (Okunko), ‘True Colour’ (D. Tharmm Equest, under Trevor’s management, currently manages a young lady named Alison Hennings. Alison is a very talented artist, born in England of Jamaican parents. Alison has performed at a number of prestigious events since signing up with her management company,Tharmm Equest. Alison entered and won the 1997 Sunday selection Singing Competition at the Hackney Empire. Upon winning this competition, she was featured on the front page of «The Weekly Gleaner», and met with His Excellency the Jamaican High

Commissioner toLondon,Mr.DerickHeaven. From this, Alison performed at the 1997 Commonwealth Sports Awards and performed at many other shows during 1997. In 1998, Alison performed at numerous events culminating in performing in Ghana at the State House in front of some of Ghana’s most prominent public figures, such as Government ministers at the 19th Commonwealth Sports Awards. The show was televised on Ghana television and Alison went down in exceptional fashion. One of the guests of honor was Lennox Lewis, who flew to Ghana in his capacity as WBC Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World (pictures of the event available on the website).Alison has also performed at the highly acclaimed RAW Comedy shows, which are being put on by Tharmm Equest. Her performances have been very well received. Due to her appearance in Ghana in October 1998, the Ghana High Commission in London requested for her to perform at their 42nd Independence Day Celebration on March 6, 1999. This show was at the Commonwealth Institute,in London,in front of representatives of the Ghanaian community and members of other Commonwealth country representatives. Alison sang a rendition of «Heroes» by Mariah Carey. The next stage in Alison’s development is to expand into the US Market with the assistance of Paul Smith and Chris Williams of Houston based Marquee Player Public Relations.On top of this they also staged the first Black Entertainment Comedy Awards (BECA) in September 1999, which awarded Comedian/Actor Chris Rock the International Comedian of the Year Award. They have also, staged their own comedy shows entitled ‘RAW’, which has been produced at the Luxurious Stratford Town Hall.In 1998, Trevor applied and successfully gained a full Football Association Agent’s License. This now entitles him to look after any professional footballer in the UK. He is now one of only a handful of Black football agents in the UK and holds a full license endorsed by the Football Association. With his vast contacts, Trevor feels that he is in the perfectpositiontobecomeone of the UK’s top football agents. The London based company, Tharmm Equest, have scouts all over the country looking at young footballers. Their principle interest is in the younger players and are they actively pursuing this area. Tanbir Hossain and the Ekeh Twins are three of the first of many youngsters that will benefit from Trevor’s contacts.Tharmm Equest aims to step into the football arena and create a force that is second to none, by establishing a complete management service that caters to the needs of the young professional footballer and other sporting personalities. Trevor has brought together a team of professionals that have many years of experience in their chosen field. Namely, Accountants, Solicitors, Financial Advisers and Public Relations professionals have been retained for their services.Tharmm Equest has now established outlets in Ghana, Jamaica, Uganda (1999) and are currently looking to set up an operation in the USA via the assistance of Chris Williams and
