It’s probably got to be a little bit quirky, amusing and maybe not too large, because they have so much stuff already. First of all, presents don’t have to be a thing, as such, but can be an experience. Having said this, you have to do a bit of nosing about or know the person really well to understand what type of experience he or she would really like. Now you may think it’s a con, but it’s actually a very pretty jar powered by LED lights, which sort of does give the look of sunshine, something everyone who lives in the UK wants to bottle up.

But what do women want? Not in the Freudian sense, but in the «Amuse me» sense. Pampering special gifts are very popular, but then again, the woman who has everything might have a lot of time on her hands for pampering and spas and such like. One thing British women rarely do is afternoon tea. It’s what we are famous for, but we don’t actually do it. School runs, calories, that sort of thing. After toying with lamb’s lettuce with her ladies who lunch and two hour power yoga class, she might simply feel proper afternoon tea with cakes and clotted cream is a well deserved treat. She will love it, particularly if you say, «You’re just getting too thin. You need cake.» A verbal prompting is the icing on the cake, so to speak.
