The development of critical thinking is one of the principles that guide the education for the creative use of media, also known as Educommunication, characterized by its interdisciplinary approach. In this sense, it was observed that critical readings are part of the tools from the interdisciplinary scope, are assumed to stimulate the cognitive processes associated with that way of thinking. Hence, the aim of this paper is, to show some theoretical and methodological guidance from the Social Communication discipline, supporting the so-called critical readings based educomunicativas strategies. From the methodological point of view, it was on the document review and analysis of content. The end result is a guide through which proposes a series of actions of a methodology for critical readings of media in the classroom.
